Who We Are.
Habitat for Humanity Claremore is a non-profit, ecumenical organization committed to sharing the love of Christ through word and deed. To that end, we partner with families in need to build decent, affordable homes. Our goals are to eliminate substandard housing, build a sense of community with our volunteers and supporters, and help partner family members to become stable, contributing members of society. As a matter of policy, Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliated organizations do not proselytize. This means that Habitat will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must either adhere to or convert to a particular faith, or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.
Our Approach to Homes.
Through volunteer time, house sponsorship, and donations, we build quality, affordable houses. These homes are sold to families through 0% interest loans. In order for an individual or family to become homebuyers, they must complete hours of “sweat equity,” working side-by-side with sponsors and volunteers to help build their own along with other Claremore Habitat homes. Applying for a Habitat home is similar to applying for a conventional loan. In addition, to qualify for the Habitat program, prospective homebuyers are required to show proof of steady income, good credit, and a need for better housing.

We Don't Discriminate.
Claremore Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds. We hold an open-door policy and we welcome all volunteers regardless of religion, race, age, gender, political views, or other differences.
